Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
- Handle chemical agents safely, following all safety protocols and handling instructions
- Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, and other floor care equipment to maintain pristine flooring surfaces
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks including heavy lifting of supplies and equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, ceilings, and fixtures to uphold facility standards
- Assist with custodial duties related to facilities maintenance such as trash removal, restocking supplies, and minor repairs
- Support special projects like residential painting or deep cleaning initiatives as needed
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques involving chemical agents and proper handling procedures
- Experience operating floor buffers, scrubbers, or other floor care machinery is advantageous
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to manual handling and heavy lifting tasks
- Background in facilities maintenance or porter roles demonstrates versatility in maintaining work environments
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safe practices
- Previous experience in industrial cleaning or residential painting is a plus but not mandatory
