Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation, safety, and upkeep of our building systems and equipment. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, hand tools, and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct HVAC system repairs, including filter replacements, system calibrations, and troubleshooting to maintain climate control.
- Carry out plumbing system maintenance and repairs, including leak detection, pipe repairs, and fixture replacements.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting and system adjustments.
- Execute carpentry tasks such as building interior structures or repairing facilities fixtures; perform maintenance painting to uphold facility aesthetics.
- Maintain facilities equipment by following maintenance procedures for building interior systems, electrical work, plumbing, and other mechanical components.
- Use schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately; document all maintenance activities thoroughly.
- Lead or assist with maintenance painting projects to ensure facility appearance standards are met.
- Support maintenance operations with customer service-oriented communication to coordinate work with other departments or external vendors when necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field with strong mechanical knowledge.
- Proficiency in electrical work, including repair of electrical equipment and understanding of schematics.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair and plumbing system maintenance.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in building automation systems.
- Ability to operate hand tools efficiently and safely; experience with electrical equipment repair is essential.
- Knowledge of maintenance painting techniques and carpentry skills for interior facility upkeep.
- Experience working with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) supplies and tools such as ohmmeters.
- Strong understanding of building interior maintenance standards; ability to read schematics accurately.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
- Leadership qualities that enable effective supervision or mentorship within the maintenance team are a plus.

Pay: $15.00 - $15.85 per hour
