At Charla's Spanish Immersion Infant & Toddler Center, we provide a high-quality early childhood education while celebrating and preserving the Spanish language. We offer a boutique childcare experience for 12 children (ages 0-24 months) each day and seek a team of dedicated educators who are committed to providing excellent care. Supporting Staff
- Support infant, toddler & primary teachers through classroom observations & consultation to support their development through goal setting & regular reviews.
- Support the creation & continuous improvement of optimal prepared environments & schedules.
- Manage teaching team dynamics & expectations for collaboration.
- Leading professional development meetings
- Support staff by ensuring high-quality implementation of curriculum & best instructional practices.
- Provide guidance & accountability for meeting student learning standards and classroom culture expectations.
- Support owner with interviewing, selecting, and onboarding new staff members
Parent communication
- Maintain active & ongoing communication with parents as needed to ensure & monitor their general experience as a parent.
- Oversee teacher communications with parents & personally support them to succeed.
Operational support
- Work with the owner to implement both academic & operational policies and procedures to support a safe and enriching learning environment
- Ensure that a safe and nurturing environment is maintained for students & staff to operate in accordance with all governing rules.
Admissions
- Work with the Director of Admissions to coordinate enrollment of new children such as touring interested families and creating and updating children’s files.
Care of Learning Space
- Maintaining a clean and organized learning environment
- Ensuring that toys, furniture, and equipment are handled with care and returned to their place when not in use
- Excellent attention to detail and mindfulness of surroundings
- Cleaning and disinfecting of space and materials
Teamwork & Reliability
- Reliable and punctual

- Fluent in Spanish; native and heritage speakers preferred

State Requirements
- Ability to understand and follow licensing rules and regulations outlined in Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations and by the Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD)
- Have obtained (or are pursuing) at least 6 credits or early childhood education courses
- Must be legally able to work in the United States
- Must pass a background check and fingerprint clearance
- Must have immunization records for Influenza, Pertussis, and Measles
- Must complete a TB test
- Must complete Mandated Reporter Training
- Must complete Infant CPR and First Aids
- Must have a physician complete a Health Screening Report

Minimum Education Requirements
- An undergraduate or graduate degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or have obtained all necessary education and experience to qualify for a Site Supervisor or Master Teacher Permit through CTC.
Reports To
Pay: $29.00 - $33.00 per hour
