We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to ensure the quality of all incoming and outgoing products at our aerospace fasteners distribution facility. As a key advocate for quality, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect incoming product, specifications, certification packets, and other details against purchase order requirements.
- Approve or reject products based on quality standards and part specifications using tools like calipers and gauges to ensure accurate dimensions.
- Perform final inspections of outgoing orders, to confirm compliance with customer requirements.
- Ensure adherence to all procedures, work instructions, and forms as part of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Prepare Inspection Reports and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) to document defects in accordance with facility requirements.
- Handle Customer and Vendor Return Material Authorizations (RMAs).
- Create complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) following AS9102 standards.
- Support the calibration and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Participate in 6S compliance throughout the facility.
- Safely operate a forklift to move parts as required.
- Be open to working overtime to support production demands.
- Other duties as assigned by the Product Verification Manager.
Requirements:
- ***Able and willing to train in Long Beach, CA until August***
- Proven experience in quality inspection or a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and a results-driven mindset.
- Responsible, reliable, and trustworthy.
- Familiarity with quality measurement tools (e.g., calipers, gauges).
- Knowledge of quality control standards and methodologies (ISO 9000, AS9120, etc.).
- Proficient in MS Office.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
