Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our Quack's team. The ideal candidate will have a background in the food service industry, especially in an industrial kitchen, and a commitment to food safety and quality. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing delicious meals that meet our high standards and cater to our diverse clientele. Our menu is not expansive nor recipes complex. This position does require attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently with a team in a small fast-paced kitchen environment or alone during slower times.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu plans.
- Maintain high standards of food handling and safety practices in compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen and front of house staff to ensure timely service and presentation of meals.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicating issues to the kitchen lead.
- Help with catering events as required, ensuring that all food is prepared to perfection.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to ensure a safe working environment.
- Opening and closing duties per restaurant norms and scheduling.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cook.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and catering.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
- Comfort working alone in the kitchen during slow periods.
- A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences for guest.

Pay begins at $12/hr and is commensurate with experience and responsibility. Successful training and integration into the team yields a pay increase.
