As our company continues to grow, we are expanding beyond firewood into exciting new ventures, including a premium grill cleaning service and a high-end inflatable rental business. We are looking for a strong leader who wants to grow with us and play a major role in building these operations from the ground up.
Job Summary
We are seeking a hardworking, dependable, and motivated Delivery Supervisor to oversee and manage all delivery operations for Indian Head Firewood. This position is a leadership role responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations while maintaining our reputation for premium service and professionalism.
You will be the face of our delivery team, responsible for leading deliveries, organizing inventory, managing routing software, coordinating logistics, and ensuring every customer receives exceptional service.
In addition to overseeing our firewood delivery operations, this role will play an important part in helping launch and grow two new divisions of the company: our grill cleaning service and inflatable rental business.
This is a physically demanding, hands-on position. You will be lifting heavy materials, working outdoors, managing teams, and leading by example. This is hard work — please do not apply if you are not prepared for that.
Responsibilities
Delivery Operations
- Manage and oversee all daily firewood delivery operations.
- Load, transport, unload, stack, and organize firewood deliveries at customer locations.
- Ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Operate and manage delivery routing software to optimize routes and maximize efficiency.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and operational logs.
- Perform routine inspections and oversee cleanliness and maintenance of company vehicles.
Team Leadership
- Lead and manage delivery crew members during daily operations.
- Ensure team members maintain professionalism and provide excellent customer service.
- Train new employees on company procedures and operational expectations.
- Lead by example with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Operations & Growth
- Assist with warehouse organization, firewood inventory management, and operational logistics.
- Help launch and build our new grill cleaning service division.
- Assist with launching and managing operations for our inflatable rental business.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency across all divisions.
Customer Experience
- Represent the company professionally at all customer interactions.
- Provide exceptional customer service and address customer concerns when needed.
- Maintain a clean, presentable, and professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a background check (NO felonies).
- Clean background and professional appearance required.
- Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and perform physically demanding labor daily.
- Comfortable working outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and changing weather conditions.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays during peak season.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
- Comfortable learning and managing routing/logistics software.
- Strong communication skills and customer service mindset.
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving ability.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in deliveries, logistics, warehouse operations, or team management is preferred.
