Overview
Worth International Media Group, a leading B-to-B publishing company, seeks an advertising sales executive to serve as our brand ambassador for two of our most prominent brands. Recommend and Prevue, are leading brands focused on providing Travel Advisors and Meeting and Incentive Planners with industry specific content and resources to achieve success. In this role, you will be our brand ambassador, creating awareness of the brands and selling a diverse portfolio of print and digital advertising options plus live event sponsorships. The sales executive would work with both well-established clients plus have the responsibility to develop new business in assigned territories. This is a salaried position with the opportunity to earn commission based on achieving sales goals and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and grow opportunities for new business, reactivating inactive accounts and growing existing business.
- Conduct research to identify clients with advertising needs.
- Create proposals in response to RFP’s or client’s expressed needs.
- Contact clients through calls and meetings to discuss advertising opportunities, present proposals, and discuss creative plans for their advertising campaigns.
- Work with internal support staff to implement client advertising campaigns.
- Participate in conferences/meetings/networking events to increase contact network.
- Responsible for reaching monthly, quarterly, and annual core and digital goals.
- Leveraging industry-specific insights to grow Print, Digital, Branded Content, and Experiential revenue across all brands.
- Providing accurate and timely business reporting, including revenue estimates, annual projections, and share of market analysis.
- Give input to the marketing team in the preparation of media kits and promotional plans.
- Strategize with sales team members to plan and execute multimedia marketing campaigns.
- Manage and maintain sales CRM software database in a timely and accurate manner and per corporate guidelines.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 3-5 years of successful advertising sales experience; strong knowledge of print and digital advertising - event sponsorships a plus
- Ability to forecast and sustain sales plans to achieve business growth with current and new clients, which would also include ad agencies.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong negotiation skills. Proactive approach to prospecting and growing business.
- Proven track record managing territory effectively
- Willingness to travel
- Excellent presentation and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong digital aptitude
- Background in leisure trade and/or meetings/incentives trade is preferred. Existing and proven relationships within the travel market a plus.
- Proficient computer knowledge: Microsoft Office Suite, database software, video conferencing – willing and motivated to learn new platforms as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
