Title: Cabinet Refacing Apprentice Program

Reporting Relationship:
This position will report directly to the Refacing Manager and will work closely with the field
installers, project coordinators, and the operations team. Reporting structures may evolve as the program and business needs grow.
Program Overview
The MKD Refacing Apprenticeship Program is designed to provide hands-on skill development, installation training, and business mentorship to prepare you to become an independent subcontractor within 90–150 days, depending on progress and milestone completion.
Compensation
The apprenticeship includes structured wage progression tied to training milestones and
performance:
$20.00 per hour — Days 1–30
$22.00 per hour — Days 31–60
$24.00–$26.00 per hour — Days 60–150 (based on skill proficiency and milestone
achievement)
All wages are paid bi-weekly and are subject to taxes and withholdings as required by law and company policy.

Job Description
As a Refacing Apprentice, your responsibilities include:
Assisting with cabinet refacing, door/drawer installation, and trim carpentry
Learning and performing material preparation, jobsite setup, and site clean-up
Following safety standards, installation methods, and MKD quality expectations
Supporting lead installers during customer projects
Progressing toward independent installation capability
Work Schedule
Typical workweeks range from 40–50 hours, depending on job-site scheduling. Occasional
Saturdays may be required.
Training & Mentorship
MKD will provide:
Hands-on field training with experienced installers
Technical instruction on refacing materials, tools, and processes
Business mentorship to prepare you for subcontractor independence
Exposure to customer communication and project management expectations
Expenses & Equipment
Reasonable and pre-approved expenses may be reimbursed.
Monthly Travel and Milage Reimbursement- $300.00
