Position Summary:
As a Bartender, you will play a vital role in creating an exceptional experience for our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to provide friendly, efficient, and attentive service to ensure guest satisfaction. Located inside Shipyard Sports & Event Center, Sub Shack is a fast-paced environment with large sporting events happening nearly every weekend from October through June. Expect a busy, high-energy atmosphere with a steady flow of customers and a team-oriented work environment. Pay is $12.00/hr + tips.
Responsibilities
- Take customer orders and provide drink recommendations on drink selections.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers.
- Mix and garnish cocktails according to recipes or customer preferences.
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
- Collect payment from customers and process transactions using a POS system and cash register.
- Washing and appropriately storing all glassware, instruments, utensils, bar equipment, cutting boards, and dishes.
- Clean and sanitize bar area.
- Maintain inventory of bar supplies and restock as needed.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
Requirements
· Previous experience as a bartender or in a customer service role preferred.
· Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
· Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
· Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques and etiquette.
· Basic math skills for handling payments and making change.
· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Physical Demands:
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
· Ability to carry trays and lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
· Stamina to handle busy shifts and high-volume periods.
