Located in the heart of Chicago, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our dynamic team. What You’ll Do:
- Play a crucial role in patient care by assisting our dentists with a wide range of procedures, including restorations, extractions, and impressions.
- Perform expanded functions such as placing and contouring fillings, applying sealants, polishing restorations, and taking accurate dental impressions.
- Take and process high-quality digital X-rays and intraoral images with precision.
- Perform iTero scanning for impressions, ensuring accurate and efficient digital records.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked operatory to ensure efficiency and seamless workflow.
- Ensure infection control compliance by properly sterilizing instruments and disinfecting treatment areas.
- Assist with scheduling, patient follow-ups, and administrative duties as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
✅ Experience preferred, but we welcome new graduates who are eager to learn and grow!
✅ Tech-savvy—familiarity with dental software (Open Dental) and Itero scanning is a plus.
✅ People person—strong communication and interpersonal skills to enhance the patient experience.
✅ Team player—someone who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced setting.
✅ Detail-oriented—knowledge of infection control, sterilization protocols, and OSHA guidelines.
