We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Welder for our manufacturing shop. This position is responsible for accessory fabricating and assembling metal structures and equipment according to established production quality standards and engineering specification for our products. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and responsibly to ensure jobs are completed correctly and on time based on a target schedule.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Plans details of work order procedures; gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job
- Fabricates various products using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment
- Read and comprehend templates, diagrams, and tape measure
- Set-up welding machines based on specific welding specifications
- Weld components and assembles using a MIG on mild and stainless steel
- Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage
- Cut, grind, machine, buff, and form workpieces as required accurately including sheet metal, plate, tube, pipe, channel and angle
- Examine completed work for defects, and measure pieces with straightedges and templates to ensure conformance with specifications
- Works as a member of the manufacturing team to provide high-quality products for our customers while achieving manufacturing goals
- Ensures effective equipment maintenance, safety and housekeeping standards are maintained
- Performs all other duties as assigned
- Requires regular and punctual employee attendance

Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of proven welding experience in an industrial or manufacturing facility
- Must be able to pass a drug test and physical
- Successfully demonstrate welding proficiency in pre-employment weld test
Attributes/Skills:
- The ability to demonstrate technical skills as a skilled welder and fabricator to effectively perform assigned welding tasks
- Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding including designs, uses, maintenance and repair
- Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models, and prints
- Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments
- Display good work habits, accuracy and exceptional attention to detail, and quality of work and awareness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a strong work ethic, being dependable, reliable, and honest with demonstrated integrity
- Operation of hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and equipment used in fabrication and welding
- Required to be a self-starter and self-motivated with an exceptional safety record
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to weld components that are vertical, flat, or overhead
- Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work
- Must be able to endure prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Must have good eye-hand coordination
- Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, carry materials, reach overhead, talk and hear
- Must have good vision including close, distance, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus (glasses are acceptable)
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 60 pounds
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
