Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Labor & Delivery Nurse to join our healthcare team in Templeton, California, during daytime shifts. This vital role involves providing comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout the labor and delivery process, ensuring safety, comfort, and positive outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in obstetric nursing, critical care experience, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care. Day Shift. 0700 - 1930
36 hours per week
Must have NRP, ACLS, BLS, AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring.
2 years of experience. LDRP model.
No Call.
Must have EPIC experience.
Start Date: 8/31
Pay: $4,325 gross - $39.69/hr, $59.54 OT, $2,023 Stipend
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs continuously during labor
- Assist with labor progression, including pain management techniques such as epidural administration
- Prepare and assist with obstetric procedures, including suturing and sterile techniques
- Support neonatal resuscitation procedures and neonatal assessments immediately postpartum
- Administer medications responsibly, including antibiotics, analgesics, and labor-inducing agents
- Educate patients on childbirth processes, postpartum care, and newborn care practices
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques at all times
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families during labor
