Position: Uniformed, Unarmed Security Officer
Location: Hotel Site (Address to be provided upon interview)
Schedule: 3-4 Days a Week | 7:00 PM – 5:00 AM | 10-Hour Shifts
Employment Type: Full-Time (90-Day Initial Term with Potential for Extension)
Position Overview
Harken Security is actively hiring a dedicated and professional Evening/Overnight Security Officer to serve at a hotel property. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of guests, staff, and property. The ideal candidate will be highly observant, reliable, and capable of managing late-night responsibilities with professionalism and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol hotel premises to deter and detect theft, trespassing, or suspicious activity
- Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to ensure safety and security compliance
- Inspect doors, windows, gates, and access points for proper functioning and lock-up
- Address and de-escalate violations of rules and policies
- Document and report incidents clearly and accurately in written reports
- Identify and report facility concerns such as leaks, hazards, or safety risks
- Request emergency services in response to medical, fire, or criminal activity
- Maintain a visible presence and act as a deterrent during overnight hours
Required Qualifications
- Valid Florida (FL) Guard Card
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Ability to stay alert and on-foot for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and written communication skills
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site
- Must be able to handle emergency or high-pressure situations professionally
Position Notes
- This is a 90-day contract role, with strong potential for continuation beyond the initial period based on client satisfaction and performance.
- Uniforms and site-specific training will be provided.
- Position requires overnight availability, including weekends and holidays as needed.
