The General Manager will oversee all aspects of the branch's daily operations and serve as the primary leader responsible for its overall success. This role combines operational leadership, customer relationship management, inventory oversight, financial accountability, and team development while maintaining full ownership of the location's profit and loss.
The successful candidate will lead by example, foster a positive workplace culture, support business development efforts, and continuously improve operational performance while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
B2B wholesale/distribution branch leadership, including hands-on responsibility for warehouse operations, inventory management, transportation routing & local deliveries, purchasing, customer relationships, and P&L ownership. Experience serving contractors, dealers, or commercial customers is highly preferred. Lean/process improvement and a hands-on leadership style are strong pluses.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent leadership experience will be considered.
· Minimum of five (5) years of management experience in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, light industrial, or a similar operational environment.
· Demonstrated experience leading teams while maintaining full operational and financial accountability.
· Proven success managing budgets, pricing, costs, margins, and branch profitability.
· Ability to build strong customer relationships and drive business growth.
· Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and CRM software.
· Ability to travel to Columbus, OH, for initial training during August before assuming leadership of the Carmel location.
· Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
