Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Prepare ice cream cones, sundaes, floats, and other treats according to established recipes and standards
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with precision
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the serving area, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards
- Upsell additional toppings or specialty items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as scooping, portioning, and food handling while adhering to sanitation guidelines
- Support food industry best practices including bussing tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring quick service during busy hours
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service, quick service & fast food restaurants, or retail environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with culinary tasks or kitchen experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
