What You Will Do (Responsibilities):
- Master the Machine (Technical Execution):
- Go beyond basic repairs to diagnose complex faults in BESS, PCS, inverters, and transformer systems .
- Utilize advanced tools like CAN analyzers, balancers, and SCADA interfaces to find the root cause .
- Lead commissioning activities, including system validation, parameter adjustments, and firmware upgrades .
- Analyze system logs and control logic to provide real engineering solutions .
- Lead the Field (Onsite Leadership):
- Direct and mentor FST teams to ensure maintenance and repairs are executed safely and efficiently .
- Coordinate daily work plans and manage resources onsite .
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, EPCs, and owners .
- Set the Standard (Safety & Compliance):
- Champion safety by strictly adhering to NFPA 70E, LOTO, and OSHA standards .
- Develop and refine SOPs and technical standards to improve fleet performance .
- Train and upskill junior technicians and engineers .
Who You Are (Qualifications):
- Experience: 3-8 years of experience in electrical engineering, power systems, or renewable energy . (We are hiring for both Junior and Senior levels based on experience!)
- Education: Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Renewable Energy. Equivalent high-voltage or BESS experience is also accepted .
- Technical Chops: Strong grasp of AC/DC systems, single-line diagrams, and control architectures/Proficiency with multimeters, clamp meters, and CAN tools .
- Soft Skills: Proven ability to lead teams, communicate complex technical issues clearly, and work independently .
- Road Warrior: Willingness to travel extensively (70%-100%) nationwide .
Preferred (Bonus Points):
- Direct experience with major BESS or inverter OEM equipment .
- Knowledge of utility standards, grid operations, and power markets .
- Hands-on experience with transformers and switchgear .
