Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilized according to infection control protocols.
- Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging tools while maintaining proper safety standards and aseptic techniques.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring accurate positioning and image quality for diagnosis.
- Manage electronic medical records using Dentrix, ensuring all documentation complies with HIPAA regulations.
- Support patient care by reviewing medical history and explaining procedures using proper dental terminology.
- Collaborate with the dental team in four-handed dentistry to improve efficiency during treatments.
- Assist with medical documentation, coding procedures accurately for billing and insurance purposes.
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards and anatomy knowledge for safe practice.
- Greet patients as a dental receptionist when needed, providing excellent customer service from check-in to check-out.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry or pediatric dentistry practices.
- Proficiency with Dentrix is preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality of patient information at all times.
- Hands-on experience with X-ray procedures and 3D scanners enhances your ability to support advanced diagnostics.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and dental coding supports accurate documentation and billing processes.
- Understanding infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and anatomy knowledge is crucial for maintaining a safe clinical environment.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
