For close to a hundred years, Taj Campton Place has been a sanctuary for sophisticates and discerning business travelers visiting San Francisco. A historic site, the hotel marries two early twentieth century buildings and has a classical European charm with an ambience that exudes privacy, warmth and luxury. Located along Stockton Street, on the prestigious Union Square, this serene retreat is a short distance from the financial district, premier art galleries, renowned museums and the city’s best known stores and restaurants.
Bombay Brasserie is our new restaurant. Our cuisine is a blending of contemporary French California with spice route influences.
Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Front Desk Agent in a Luxury Hotel
Flexibility to work AM, PM, Weekends, Overnight and Holidays as needed
Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language, both verbal and non-verbal
Provide legible communication and compute basic arithmetic
Knowledge of Opera program system and Go Concierge program system
*The ability to display, at all times, a friendly, courteous and professional manner in all dealings with guests, patrons and other employees.
*The ability to welcome and register hotel guests with an emphasis on fulfilling requests, following special handling instructions, and adhering to established credit policies and procedures.
*The ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
*The ability to be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
*The ability to follow directions thoroughly; to prioritize and organize.
*The ability to understand guest’s service needs.
*The ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
*The ability to work with minimum supervision.
*The ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
*The ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
*The ability to check guests in and out of the hotel in accordance with procedures; make change, cash checks, exchange foreign currency, and post charges to guest accounts.
*The ability to maintain a balanced bank assigned to you from the hotel and to reconcile all transactions at the close of the shift and cash out.
*Knowledge of the San Francisco and the Bay area and its tourist sites, restaurants, stores, museums and ongoing special events.
*The ability to recite hours of operation of all hotel facilities and special service codes.
*The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management.
*The ability to handle hotel emergency procedures and situations with maturity and professionalism.
