Job Title: CT Technologist (CT Tech)
Location: Chicago, IL 60631
Department: CT Scan
Shift: 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM (40 Hours/Week)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Contract Length: 13 Weeks (Potential for Extension)
Pay Rate:
- Local Candidates (Within 50 Miles): $60/hour (Negotiable)
- Travel Candidates: $66/hour (Negotiable)
Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Prepare and position patients for CT examinations while ensuring comfort and safety.
- Operate CT imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Accurately document patient information and imaging procedures using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
- Maintain compliance with radiation safety standards and infection control policies.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
- Respond to on-call responsibilities as scheduled.
- Maintain imaging equipment and report any operational concerns promptly.
Requirements
- Current BLS Certification (Required)
- EPIC experience is required.
- Previous CT Technologist experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures and patient safety practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends, overnight on-call shifts (approximately 2–3 times per week), and graveyard shifts as needed.
Schedule
- Shift: 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM
- 40 hours per week
- Rotating weekends required.
- Overnight on-call coverage approximately 2–3 times per week.
- Must be available to work graveyard shifts when needed.
Pay: $60.00 - $66.00 per hour
