Job Summary

Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools efficiently and safely.
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items are hygienic and ready for use.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic chopping or ingredient handling under supervision.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas.
- Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, trays, and supplies with proper technique to prevent injury.
- Maintain sanitation standards by regularly cleaning dish stations, sinks, and surrounding areas.
- Adhere to kitchen health and safety standards to promote a safe working environment for all staff.
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation practices is a plus.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and sinks safely and effectively.
- Strong manual handling skills with the capacity for heavy lifting when necessary.
