Responsibilities
- Serve ice cream, toppings, and other treats accurately and efficiently using proper food handling techniques
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process transactions swiftly and accurately
- Engage with customers to take orders, answer questions about flavors, and recommend upselling options to enhance their experience
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by regularly cleaning scoops, counters, and work areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Restock supplies like cones, cups, napkins, and toppings to ensure smooth service during busy hours
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as portioning ingredients or preparing simple menu items when needed
- Support team members by bussing tables, managing cash handling duties, and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the shop
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or food service environments such as quick service restaurants, cafes, or retail food outlets is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach to engaging guests
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math for sales and register balancing
- Knowledge of food safety practices including sanitation, proper food handling, and hygiene standards
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours while maintaining quality service
- Experience in cashiering, upselling techniques, and working in fast-paced restaurant or retail settings is highly desirable
