American Traveler is hiring a Sleep Technologist for a Sleep Lab position requiring at least one year of sleep lab experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Work setting: hospital Sleep Lab
-
3rd shift schedule, approximately 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM
-
Works 3 days per week (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) for 30 hours/week
-
13-week assignment
-
No floating or charge responsibilities required
-
Minimum of 1 year of sleep lab experience required

High school diploma required
-
Registration or registry eligibility preferred
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
MA license required if applicable
-
Must be able to perform all-night sleep studies and Multiple Sleep Latency Tests while maintaining quality assurance standards

Able to titrate CPAP/BIPAP and administer O2 therapy independently or in conjunction with CPAP/BIPAP
-
Able to troubleshoot equipment issues during studies

Skilled in recognizing and responding to physiological events such as cardiac dysrhythmias, respiratory events, and seizures

Performs polysomnography under general supervision of a sleep center clinical director to assess physiological parameters during sleep including EEG, EOG, EMG, EKG, and ventilation

Collects and reviews patient history and questionnaire information to identify sleep/wake complaints

Evaluates studies in real time and prepares preliminary reports

Calibrates and adjusts instruments to maintain high-quality recordings
-
Recognizes and documents artifacts and abnormal clinical manifestations during testing

Participates in continuing education and departmental quality improvement activities

Must be separated from Beth Israel Lahey Health for at least 6 months prior to consideration

Required vaccinations include COVID (with booster) and Flu, with medical exemptions allowed

Pass/Fail Tele/ECG and Medication testing may apply depending on campus
