Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Laborer to join our dynamic paving team. In this role, you will be an essential part of the onsite workforce, supporting various aspects of paving projects. Your energy, attention to safety, and ability to follow detailed instructions will contribute directly to the successful completion of projects on time and within scope. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment while ensuring adherence to all safety standards and construction protocols.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including site clearing and cleanup.
- Support skilled trades by handling manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, and positioning materials and equipment
- Operate tools, and equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to OSHA safety standards
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on construction equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Follow all workplace safety regulations, including proper use of respiratory protection, climbing safety gear, and other personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Support and assist with site cleanup to maintain a safe work environment
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and maintenance
- understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and OSHA standards
- Experience with manual handling, heavy lifting, climbing, and working at heights safely
- Familiarity with respiratory protection protocols and other PPE requirements
- Industrial construction experience is highly desirable for understanding project workflows and safety procedures
