Responsibilities
- Assist in installing electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment according to blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Support the setup and use of hand tools, power tools, and testing devices such as ohmmeters to ensure proper functioning of electrical systems
- Read and interpret construction blueprints and schematics to aid in accurate installation and troubleshooting
- Help with the installation of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards
- Conduct routine inspections on electrical components, identify issues, and support repairs under supervision
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites, including framing carpentry tasks when needed
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including working with construction site safety procedures and understanding electrical hazards
Qualifications
- Prior experience or familiarity with industrial or commercial electrician work is a plus but not required; eagerness to learn is essential
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters
- Experience or coursework related to blueprint reading and schematics interpretation
- Ability to work safely on construction sites, including understanding of construction safety practices
- Strong interest in developing skills related to low voltage and high voltage electrical systems
- Good communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions from supervisors
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces
