Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team and drive strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement operations. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with organizational goals, utilizing proprietary internal ERP.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure favorable agreements while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Manage procurement processes including purchasing, materials management, production planning, and logistics coordination to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Conduct root cause analysis on procurement issues to identify areas for process improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee supplier management activities, including performance evaluation, compliance monitoring, and risk mitigation strategies in accordance with federal acquisition regulations where applicable.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and logistics teams to optimize inventory levels using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and category management techniques.
- Ensure contract management compliance by drafting, reviewing, and maintaining procurement contracts and service agreements.
- Support sourcing initiatives by conducting market research, supplier evaluations, and category analysis to identify new opportunities for cost savings and quality enhancement.
Experience
- Proven experience in procurement management within manufacturing or supply chain environments.
- Demonstrated ability in contract negotiation, supplier management, and sourcing strategies.
- Familiarity with supply chain concepts including logistics, production planning, materials management, and quality control processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements effectively.
- Prior experience working with procurement software tools like ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), MRP systems, or other supply chain management platforms is highly desirable.
