We are seeking a dedicated Sanitation Worker to join our team, committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across various operational areas. This role is essential in ensuring that facilities adhere to health and safety standards, supporting efficient production processes, and promoting overall cleanliness. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks across manufacturing, food processing, warehouse, and industrial areas to ensure compliance with sanitation protocols.
- Conduct heavy-duty cleaning using appropriate tools and chemicals to maintain cleanliness in high-traffic or heavily soiled zones.
- Assist with sanitation of equipment, machinery, and work surfaces to prevent contamination and ensure operational efficiency.
- Remove waste materials safely and efficiently, adhering to proper disposal procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas such as break rooms, restrooms, and hallways through janitorial duties.
- Follow health and safety guidelines during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Use industrial cleaning equipment effectively, including scrubbers, pressure washers, and vacuum systems.
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning tasks to supervisors promptly.
- Support food production or manufacturing teams by ensuring sanitation standards are consistently met.
Experience
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience in industrial or commercial settings preferred.
- Experience with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation highly desirable.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards relevant to food production or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during cleaning tasks.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations or food processing facilities is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in fast-paced environments. This role is vital for upholding the safety, hygiene, and operational excellence of our facilities.
