Full-Time Medical Assistant (Cross-Trained Front Desk Specialist)
About the Position
Port City Pediatrics is a private medical practice seeking a dedicated, full-time Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. This role will also be trained as a backup Front Desk Specialist. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and customer service.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent attendance.
- Ideal candidates will have a track record of remaining with employers long enough to make a measurable impact, rather than a pattern of frequent short-term positions.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting (required)
- Experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system (required)
- Excellent customer service and patient communication skills (required)
- Experience with EPIC EMR (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- A dependable work ethic with a strong attendance record
- The ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office
Schedule
This is a full-time position requiring flexibility to work Monday through Friday.
Candidates must:
- Be available to work as early as 8:45 AM and as late as 8:00 PM
- Be able to work rotating late-night shifts to assist with checking in sick patients at the end of the day
- Have no scheduling conflicts that would prevent working the required hours
