Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Cleaner to join our team! Do you like to work independently? This is a great opportunity for individuals who like to work by themselves. The work primarily takes place on Monday-Friday evenings, and we are offering approximately 25 hours per week. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial spaces. Your energy and dedication will ensure our facilities remain safe, spotless, and welcoming for employees, clients, and visitors alike. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a professional environment while developing your custodial skills. No experience or education is required, we will provide on-the-job training!
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial offices, healthcare facilities and industrial spaces
- Dust surfaces, vacuum & mop floors, disinfect bathrooms, polish windows & stainless steel, clean office kitchens & break rooms, sanitize high-touch areas to promote a healthy and safe work environment
- Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste responsibly in designated areas
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet paper to ensure continuous availability
- Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain compliance with sanitation standards
- Comply with HIPAA policies
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
- Maintain cleaning logs and record completed tasks to ensure accountability and consistency
Requirements
- Weeknight evening availability
- A valid drivers license and reliable transportation (traveling to and from commercial spaces is a big part of this job, and you will be paid for driving time/reimbursed for mileage)
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as vacuums and floor scrubbers safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within scheduled shifts
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles preferred; custodial experience is highly valued but not a requirement
