Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual. A countertop fabricator is responsible for precisely cutting, shaping, and finishing various materials like laminate into custom countertops. A fabricator should be able to provide measurements and design specifications, using specialized machinery and hand tools, ensuring high-quality results and proper installation readiness; this includes tasks like templating, cutting, edge profiling, and quality inspection.
Duties
- Measure, cut, and assemble laminate countertops according to blueprints and schematics
- Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
- Precisely cutting openings for sinks, cooktops, and other appliances on countertops
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for precise fabrication
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and finished products while maintaining safety standards
- Creating desired edge profiles on countertops using hand tools or specialized machinery
- Conduct quality checks to ensure finished products meet specifications and standard
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on-site or in the workshop
Qualifications
- Ability to precisely measure and interpret blueprints and templates
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and fabrication equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Prior experience in manufacturing or restoration industries is a plus
- Understanding the properties of different laminate wood and their fabrication requirements
