Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner/Busser to join our dynamic restaurant team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth service flow, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and providing exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong communication skills, and a keen eye for food safety and cleanliness. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
Duties
- Deliver prepared food promptly from the kitchen to guests’ tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Clear and reset tables efficiently to prepare for new guests, maintaining cleanliness throughout service.
- Assist servers with bussing tables, refilling beverages, and attending to guest needs as directed.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including sweeping, wiping down surfaces, and organizing utensils and condiments.
- Support food preparation tasks when needed, including basic plating or garnishing under supervision.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and billing assistance.
- Uphold food safety standards by handling food properly and adhering to sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth restaurant operations.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly and responding promptly to their requests.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, banquet, or hospitality environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations.
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift trays or supplies, and move quickly around the dining area.
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a genuine desire to provide excellent guest service are essential qualities for success in this role.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
