At Orland Dental Studio our Hygienists have been with the practice for decades and we are looking for a super star to join the team. As a team player, you will deliver exceptional patient care by providing thorough dental cleanings, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall function of our dental practice. Your expertise will help ensure a comfortable, safe, and positive experience for every patient while maintaining the highest standards of infection control and clinical excellence. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and evaluate vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to assess patient health status
- Assist the dentist during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort
- Conduct medical imaging procedures like X-rays while adhering to proper aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols
- Review and update medical records accurately in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions using clear dental terminology
- Assist with patient assessment, documentation review, and medical coding to support accurate billing and recordkeeping
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice
- Our office is family centered and we strive to provide the best possible care for our patients
- Proficiency in dental software (we are using a state of the art cloud based software)
- Experience working in pediatric dentistry or general dentistry environments is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, infection control protocols, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on pediatrics when applicable
- Knowledge of medical coding practices related to dental services is a plus

Pay: $47.00 - $60.00 per hour
