- Know the menu, ingredient details, common allergens, current offerings, and product availability.
- Confirm special requests and communicate allergy-related concerns clearly to the barista before drinks are prepared.
- Support smooth front-of-house flow, including order handoff, guest communication, wait-time awareness, and order accuracy.
- Keep the guest-facing counter, handoff area, surrounding exterior areas, and service environment clean, organized, and presentable.
- Restock guest-facing supplies such as cups, lids, napkins, and retail items as needed.
- Help maintain retail coffee-bean inventory, including proper display, restocking, and reporting damaged, outdated, or improperly stored products.
- Communicate product shortages, POS issues, equipment concerns, sanitation needs, guest concerns, or safety issues promptly to the Business Operations Coordinator.
- Assist baristas and owners with other trailer, event, retail, or hospitality needs as assigned.
Food Safety and Service Standards
- Maintain strong personal hygiene, clean uniform standards, and a professional appearance.
- Follow all food-safety, sanitation, handwashing, and allergen-awareness procedures.
- Do not guess about ingredients or allergens; stop and verify information before serving a guest.
- Use clean tools, gloves, and appropriate handling practices to help prevent allergen cross-contact when needed.
- Do not report to work when sick with vomiting, diarrhea, fever, or other contagious symptoms.
- Stay calm and professional during busy service periods, guest concerns, minor operational issues, or emergencies.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, product-quality concerns, maintenance needs, and guest-service issues.
Qualifications
- Previous customer-service, cashier, restaurant, café, retail, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Comfortable learning and operating a digital POS system and handling non-cash transactions accurately.
- Friendly, confident communicator who enjoys engaging with guests.
- Strong attention to detail, especially with orders, special requests, allergens, and cleanliness.
- Reliable transportation and consistent early-morning availability.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced coffee-trailer environment.
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds of supplies, ice, milk, coffee, or retail inventory.
- Current food-handler certification preferred; willingness to obtain required certification promptly.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
