Overview
Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Preschool Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help shape the foundational years of young learners. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for preschool children. Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy education, math activities, and early childhood development strategies
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and guiding children through routines and activities
- Engage with children during playtime, educational activities, and meal times to promote social skills and emotional well-being
- Help prepare classroom materials, organize learning centers, and maintain a clean, safe environment conducive to exploration and discovery
- Work closely with children with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities, providing tailored support to foster inclusion and participation
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure clear understanding of developmental progress and classroom expectations
- Assist in documenting student progress and behavior management strategies to support ongoing curriculum development and individualized learning plans
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies (are a plus!)
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating initiative and flexibility
- Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields is a plus but not mandatory; enthusiasm for ongoing professional development is valued
