Description:
The Carolinas are in the middle of a data center boom, and concrete is the long pole on every one of them. This is the estimating desk behind that work — pricing the large-footprint horizontal jobs most estimators never get their hands on: data centers, mega-slabs, tilt-wall, big manufacturing and distribution facilities.
You'd be estimating for a national self-perform contractor, which means you're pricing real scope and owning the numbers from concept to bid, not papering over a stack of subcontractor quotes. And it's a dedicated estimating seat — no splitting your week between the field and the takeoff. You get to go deep and be properly good at one thing.
The pipeline is full and the work isn't slowing down. For the right estimator that's a seat with room to grow: open on level, so whether you're 3-6 years in and ready to step up, or 15 years deep and want bigger, busier work behind you, there's a path here.
What you'll need:
- Estimating experience in self-perform concrete, from a concrete sub or a self-perform GC
- Time on large-footprint horizontal work — slabs on grade, tilt-up, data centers, manufacturing or distribution
- Confidence owning takeoffs and pricing on projects north of 200,000 sq ft
