The Washington Commanders are seeking a part-time seasonal Parking & Transportation Event Assistant at Northwest Stadium. This individual will provide professional service towards employees and guests of the Washington Commanders. Staff will provide oversight and assistance with all transportation items in the parking lots of Northwest Stadium.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for helping oversee all transportation tasks at the stadium, including crossing guards, greeters and parking sorters
Observe, monitor and track traffic flow and pedestrian safety initiatives within parking areas.
Collaborate with parking partners and internal staff to deliver a smooth, efficient arrival and departure experience for all guests.
Assist with the oversight of VMS boards on the roadways, ensuring that placement and messaging is correct
Organize parking briefing notes, deployment sheets and dot maps to ensure staff are always in the correct place
Work with Commanders partners to ensure an overall great experience in the parking lots
Assist in overseeing employee shuttle operations at Northwest Stadium
Handle gameday parking lot issues with necessary parties
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must commit to work all Commanders Home games, Major Stadium Events, and potential playoff games
High School graduate or GED equivalent required
Valid state driver's license required
Must be proficient with computers and Microsoft Office programs
Must be at least 18 years old
Willingness to learn is required
Possess a professional attitude that is customer service oriented
Effective writing, telephone, and verbal communication skills
Maintain a clean and neat appearance during work hours
Good judgment and detail-oriented
Ability to communicate effectively with guests, staff, and vendors.
Able to work in varying weather conditions and to
Able to work on feet for extended periods of time
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. This position is designated as an "essential employee" and may be required to stay beyond regular work hours and/or report in from off-duty to assist with minimum staffing coverage
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university preferred.
Previous experience with a sports team
