Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Private Preschool Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a vibrant early childhood education environment. Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to early childhood development standards, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction among children.
- Manage daily classroom activities, including lesson planning, behavior management, and classroom organization to promote effective learning experiences.
- Conduct assessments of children's progress through observations and standardized testing to inform instruction and support individualized learning plans.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's developmental milestones, behavioral concerns, and progress updates regularly.
- Support children with special educational needs through early intervention strategies and tailored activities that promote inclusion and growth.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental milestones, and other relevant documentation in compliance with privacy policies.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience in curriculum development across various subjects such as literacy, math, physical education, and childcare.
- Proven classroom management skills to foster positive behavior and create an engaging learning environment.
- Ability to work effectively with children of different ages, including toddlers and preschoolers, with sensitivity to individual needs.
- Familiarity with special education techniques and early intervention strategies to support diverse learners.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, colleagues, and administrative staff.
- Knowledge of Montessori methods or other alternative educational philosophies is a plus.

We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Assistant Teachers to help plan and implement an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child, in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning® approach to teaching and learning.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Is responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.
- Observes all rules and regulations at Primrose School of Copperfield and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.
- Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis.
- Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum and programming.
- Plans with a member of the Leadership Team the parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations.
- Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
- Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior.
- Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds.
- Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions.
- Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the Primrose School of Copperfield Employee Handbook
- Assists in other capacities that Director, or designee, determines is necessary.
Desired skills and experience:
- Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency
- Previous teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred
- Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
