Dry Land Distillers is a craft distillery based in Longmont, Colorado dedicated to creating high-quality, locally sourced spirits. We pride ourselves on providing an intimate, educational, and exceptional tasting room experience. We are looking for a creative, organized, and energetic Events Coordinator and Mixologist to build our event portfolio, drive private bookings, and cultivate a vibrant community presence.
Position Summary
The Events Coordinator will own all aspects of in-house and off-site events, ranging from private parties and corporate gatherings to public brand activations and educational tastings. This role acts as the primary point of contact for clients, managing the booking process, planning logistics, and overseeing execution. The ideal candidate has a passion for spirits, hospitality, and creating memorable experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Event Planning & Sales: Respond to event inquiries, conduct tours of the facility, and guide clients through booking, contract signing, and logistics.
- On-Site Execution: Act as the lead for on-site private events, ensuring setup, service, and breakdown are executed smoothly.
- Public Events & Activations: Coordinate and execute in-house events (e.g., cocktail classes, live music) and represent the distillery at off-site festivals or markets.
- Vendor Management: Source and manage relationships with local vendors (food trucks, musicians, decorators).
- Marketing & Promotion: Collaborate with ownership to develop event packages, and work with social media staff to promote upcoming events.
- Operational Support: When events are not in operation, assist with front-of-house (FOH) operations, including bartending, inventory support and bar prep/close.
- Compliance: Ensure all events adhere to all Colorado state and local liquor laws, including ID checks and TIPS certification requirements.
Event Planning & Management
- Envision, coordinate, schedule, and manage all on-site and off-site events at Dry Land Distillers.
- Generate new event leads and manage communication for on- and off-site mobile bar events.
- Host or support events directly, or coordinate additional staff with the Tasting Room Leadership team.
- Partner with marketing and social media teams to promote public and private events.
- Ensure prompt and accurate invoicing for all events.
- Staffing coordination with Tasting Room Manager
- Timely and accurate invoicing
- Track cocktail par levels for all events and coordinate batching with the prep team.
- Maintain accurate records of time, service, products and event details.
- Manage all contracts and agreements for private events.
- Keep the Dry Land Events Calendar up to date with detailed event information.
- Work with the Tasting Room leadership team to confirm pricing, term sheets, and marketing plans for public events.
- Ensure all required liquor licenses are properly obtained for each event.
- Coordinate setup and breakdown for all on-site and off-site events.
- Transport event equipment and alcohol using a company or personal vehicle (requires a clean driving record).
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed for event setup and teardown.
- Administrative & Coordination Responsibilities
- Maintain organized event documentation, schedules, and communications.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality across events.
- Promptly respond to all email/phone inquiries and ongoing communications.
- Manage and update shared Google calendars.
- Maintain accurate records of time, service, products and event details.
- Creative & Promotional Tasks
- Contribute to event concept development, creative planning, and visual design.
- Support event marketing with basic graphic design and photo editing skills as needed.
Performance & Growth
- Meet quarterly financial performance targets as established with the Tasting Room leadership team.
- Maintain flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
- Manage a current workload of approximately 15–25 hours per week, with potential for growth based on business needs.

Qualifications
- Experience: 1–3+ years of experience in event planning, coordination, or hospitality (distillery, brewery, or winery experience is a major plus).
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of cocktails, craft spirits, and tasting room operations.
- Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills. Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Availability: Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Certification: ServeSafe (TIPS) Certified (or ability to become certified immediately).

- At least 21 years of age.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work weekends (Fri/Sat) and evening hours.
- Have reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
