Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations within our production facility. This role is vital in ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely while maintaining high-quality standards. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production teams on the factory floor, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Monitor production processes, utilizing measuring instruments and technical drawings to ensure precision and compliance with specifications.
- Manage the use of hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and manual handling equipment to facilitate efficient assembly and manufacturing tasks.
- Interpret manufacturing documents such as work orders, process instructions, and technical drawings to guide daily operations.
- Oversee the setup and operation of assembly lines, ensuring optimal workflow and process efficiency through lean manufacturing principles.
- Enforce safety standards in production areas by conducting regular safety audits, training staff on safety procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Lead process improvement initiatives by analyzing workflow data, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing strategies for increased productivity.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods while coordinating with procurement to ensure timely supply.
- Conduct training sessions for team members on the proper use of tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate production documentation for tracking performance metrics, quality control records, and compliance reports.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in factory or manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of production processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage production or assembly teams effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, manufacturing documents, and measurement instruments.
- Mechanical knowledge coupled with experience using hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and other manual handling equipment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of safety standards applicable to manufacturing facilities; commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate machinery such as forklifts responsibly.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills for effective team leadership and collaboration across departments.
