American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Step-Down (HVTI) position at a major academic medical center in Cleveland, requiring at least 18 months of Step-Down experience and an OH or Compact RN license in hand.

Work in a cardiovascular/thoracic Step-Down (HVTI) unit within a large hospital setting
-
Potential to float to other units (J1-2, J33) and the ED to care for the same patient population
-
Rotating day/night shifts: days 7:00am–7:30pm and nights 7:00pm–7:30am
-
3x12-hour shifts per week
-
Must be available to work at least every other holiday

Active OH RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand

Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required

Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in Step-Down nursing required (may be combined across locations)

Minimum 18 months of recent Step-Down experience required (travel experience accepted)

PCU/Progressive Care experience preferred but not required

Must provide two professional references for consideration

PDF copies of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation, and acceptable scores on both are required to continue the assignment

Shift times may vary based on unit operational needs; while preferred shifts will be honored when possible, rotation may be required

Travelers may not work more than 18 consecutive months across any facility locations within this health system, and must wait a minimum of 6 months before beginning another assignment within the same health system
