Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Family Nurse Practitioner / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our Primary Care team. The provider will deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care across the lifespan, including preventive services, chronic disease management, and acute visits in an outpatient family practice setting.
This role focuses on continuity of care, health promotion, and improving long-term patient outcomes while working collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive evaluations including history, physical exams, and risk assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, infections, obesity, anxiety, and depression.
- Order, interpret, and manage laboratory tests, imaging studies, and diagnostic screenings.
- Prescribe medications and adjust treatment plans according to evidence-based guidelines.
- Conduct preventive visits including Annual Wellness Visits, routine physicals, and women’s health screenings (Pap smears, contraception counseling).
- Provide chronic disease management and medication follow-ups.
- Perform office procedures such as:
- Pap smears
- Injections and vaccinations
- IV therapies
- Simple wound care and sutures
- Ear lavage
- Educate patients on lifestyle modification, nutrition, weight management, and preventive care.
- Utilize EHR systems for accurate documentation and billing compliance.
- Coordinate care with specialists, hospitals, and ancillary services.
- Provide telehealth visits when appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and quality care standards.
Qualifications / Experience
- Licensed APRN in the State of Florida
- Board Certified (FNP-C, APRN-BC or equivalent)
- Experience in primary care, family practice, or outpatient clinic preferred
- Comfortable seeing pediatric and adult patients
- Knowledge of preventive guidelines (USPSTF, Medicare AWV, HEDIS measures)
- Familiarity with E/M coding and medical documentation requirements
- Ability to manage 18–25 patients per day in an outpatient setting
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
