Material Receiving & Inspection Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Material Receiving & Disposition Specialist to support the inspection, verification, and disposition of incoming equipment and materials. This position will help ensure that delivered materials meet quality expectations, quantities are accurate, and receiving documentation corresponds with the equipment physically delivered to the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and audit incoming materials and equipment upon delivery.
- Examine materials and equipment for visible damage, defects, or unacceptable conditions.
- Verify received quantities against shipping, packing, and receiving documentation.
- Review Bills of Lading (BOLs) and other shipping records to ensure documentation accurately reflects materials received.
- Identify and document discrepancies, damaged materials, shortages, or documentation issues.
- Coordinate with quality and project personnel to determine the appropriate disposition of received materials.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, quantity verification, discrepancies, and material dispositions.
- Communicate with site personnel and other stakeholders to resolve material-related issues in a timely manner.
- Support overall material tracking and receiving activities throughout the project.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately inspect and verify physical materials.
- Previous experience in material receiving, inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, quality inspection, or equipment auditing preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret Bills of Lading and other shipping documentation.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced site environment.
- Ability to identify discrepancies and follow through on resolution.
- Ability to meet project deadlines and support short-term project requirements.
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
