We are seeking a motivated and responsible Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized freight carriers.
- Safely load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Drive across designated routes, managing delivery schedules efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Handle freight securely during transit, including load securing for flatbed and tanker shipments.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each trip.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with tractor-trailers or similar large vehicles.
- Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently.
- Prior delivery driver experience involving freight handling, route driving, load & unload procedures, and customer service.
- Familiarity with operating specialized equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other freight types.
- Valid CDL license with endorsements relevant to the vehicle types operated (e.g., tanker endorsement).
- Strong understanding of route planning and time management to ensure punctual deliveries.
