Join our team! We are seeking to fill a part time position with the goal of expanding our current shopping hours to better accomodate our customers. Must be at least 18 year old and have flexibility. Would be a great fit for someone retired or just looking to make some extra income.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Operate the cash register (POS system), handle retail sales transactions accurately, and manage cash drawer procedures with integrity
- Maintain stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring merchandise is well-presented through effective merchandising techniques
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, guiding product selections, and demonstrating knowledge of store products
- Assist with inventory management to ensure availability of popular items
- Handle phone inquiries professionally, practicing proper phone etiquette to support customer engagement
- Support store operations by performing basic math calculations for sales and inventory, assisting with cash handling procedures, and ensuring accurate retail math practices
Skills
- Proficiency in POS systems and cash register operations for seamless retail transactions
- Strong communication skills to engage with customers effectively
- Experience in retail store environments is preferred for understanding store operations and customer expectations
- Knowledge of merchandising principles to create attractive displays that boost sales
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to foster positive interactions at all touchpoints
- Familiarity with stock management, shelving, and inventory replenishment processes
