Overview
Our customer is seeking a highly skilled Senior OSP Designer III / Autodesk Certified CAD Technician to support the design and development of telecommunications and utility infrastructure projects.
This position is responsible for creating, managing, and coordinating complex design packages utilizing AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and Navisworks. The ideal candidate is an AutoCAD expert who can independently develop construction-ready designs, support field-to-finish workflows, manage large drawing packages, and collaborate with engineering, construction, and project teams.
Candidates may come from telecommunications, utility, civil engineering, infrastructure, or architectural backgrounds.
- Develop and maintain complex design packages utilizing AutoCAD.
- Create detailed construction drawings and design documentation.
- Work within Revit to develop and modify project models.
- Utilize BIM workflows to support 3D modeling and project coordination.
- Use Navisworks to review, coordinate, and manage project models and design files.
- Merge and manage large drawing sets from multiple project stakeholders.
- Develop aerial and underground utility and telecommunications designs.
- Conduct design reviews and ensure constructability of project deliverables.
- Support engineering, project management, and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Process redlines, revisions, and as-built updates.
- Maintain QA/QC standards and drawing accuracy.
- Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) required.
- Minimum 5 years of AutoCAD design experience.
- Expert-level AutoCAD skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Revit.
- Experience supporting BIM (Building Information Modeling) environments and 3D model coordination.
- Proficiency with Navisworks.
- Experience developing construction-ready design packages.
- Strong knowledge of utility, telecommunications, infrastructure, or commercial construction design.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- OSP Fiber Design experience.
- Telecommunications or utility infrastructure experience.
- Civil 3D experience.
- Experience with aerial and underground utility design.
- Architectural, engineering, or infrastructure consulting background.
- GIS experience a plus.
