Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Mechanic / Handyman to support our food manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, plumbing, general construction, and food processing equipment. This role is responsible for maintaining production machinery, facility systems, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently while meeting food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on food production and packaging equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Perform general plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywall, and facility repairs.
- Install, maintain, and repair machinery used in food processing and packaging.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and minimize production downtime.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery, utilities, and building systems.
- Replace worn or defective components, including motors, bearings, belts, pumps, valves, and conveyors.
- Maintain refrigeration, compressed air, and water systems as needed.
- Follow all food safety, GMP, OSHA, and company safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders in a timely manner.
- Assist with equipment installations, facility improvements, and production line modifications.
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in industrial environment preferred.
- Electrical systems (120V, 240V, and 480V preferred)
- Plumbing systems

- General construction and facility maintenance
- Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in a manufacturing environment.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
