A Non-Merit vacancy exists in the Department of Health and Human Services, Bureau of Community Health Services.
Non-Merit positions are not classified within the Baltimore County Government Classification and Compensation Plan.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Job Purpose
Under close supervision, responsible for making home visits, accompanying victims of domestic violence to court, advocating for victims; assisting victims in navigating system, sheltering, counseling, filing criminal charges and ex-parte.
Essential Job Duties

Conducts home visits in conjunction with the police department

Interviews victims, gathers and documents information

Assess client needs to determine counseling, sheltering, crisis intervention to develop safety plans for victims.

Assists in filing charges and ex-parte orders

Conducting community outreach and education

Develop marketing materials and attend meetings within the agency and community
Examples of Other Duties:

Case consultation with agency staff

Maintains logs and enters data into agency database

Physical and Environmental Conditions

Medical Examination and Employment Background Investigation
Applicants selected for employment with Baltimore County must successfully complete a physical examination, drug screening and employment investigation, including, but not limited to criminal background, education certification and fingerprinting checks.
