We are seeking an experienced Inventory Controller for a growing organization located in Phoenix, Arizona. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who can help maintain accurate inventory records, support purchasing and order activity, and improve inventory control processes across a fast-paced service center environment.
The Inventory Controller will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, reconciling inventory activity, supporting customer and contractor order needs, and partnering with operations, purchasing, and management to ensure materials are available, accurate, and properly documented. Confidentiality, professionalism, accuracy, and a strong commitment to customer service and safety are essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
· Monitor, maintain, and reconcile current inventory levels to support operational and customer requirements.
· Process, review, and verify inventory transactions, adjustments, cycle counts, and related reports for accuracy.
· Create, track, and follow up on purchase orders as needed; investigate discrepancies, delays, or fulfillment issues.
· Document returns, credits, and inventory movement in accordance with established procedures.
· Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, vendors, and internal teams regarding products, orders, quotes, and inventory availability.
· Support managers and employees with administrative tasks related to inventory control, reporting, organization, and communication.
· Maintain accurate records and ensure tasks are completed with high quality, timeliness, and attention to detail.
· Perform routine clerical, office support, and reception-related duties as needed.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· At least two years of inventory control experience, preferably in a manufacturing, distribution, building products, or service center environment.
· Strong accuracy, accountability, organization, and attention to detail.
· Ability to research discrepancies, solve problems, manage time effectively, and work independently.
· Professional written and verbal communication skills, including phone and email communication.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience using inventory, ERP, accounting, or related business software.
· Must be able to successfully complete applicable pre-employment screening requirements.
