As a Caregiver, you will not only assist with daily activities but also provide emotional support and companionship, ensuring our clients feel valued, respected, and cared for.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for residents.
- Monitor patients’ health by observing their physical and emotional conditions, reporting any changes to nursing staff or family members.
- Support individuals with disabilities and those experiencing dementia or memory-related issues through specialized care techniques.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and respect resident rights at all times.
- Perform heavy lifting as needed to assist clients with mobility or transfers.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, adhering to all safety protocols.
Skills
- Experience in caregiving, particularly with individuals who have disabilities or require memory care.
- Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and the ability to recognize changes in health status.
- Familiarity with dementia care practices and strategies for effective communication with patients experiencing cognitive decline.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and rights.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively when assisting clients.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others live comfortably and independently.
