Staff Accountant
Location: Grants Pass, OR | In-Office
Employment Type: Full-Time
We're a growing accounting and bookkeeping firm in Southern Oregon looking for a Staff Accountant who's ready to do meaningful work, build real skills, and be part of a team that genuinely cares about each other and the clients we serve. If you're early in your accounting career and looking for a place where you can grow fast, work with great people, and actually enjoy coming to work — we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
- Manage accounts payable and receivable for a portfolio of small business clients
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and maintain accurate, up-to-date bank feeds
- Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts to source documents
- Record journal entries and assist with general ledger maintenance
- Communicate directly with clients to answer questions, gather documents, and provide updates
- Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end close tasks
- Manage your workflow and task lists
- Participate in team meetings
What We're Looking For
We care as much about who you are as what you know. The right person for this role is someone who takes pride in their work, shows up for their teammates, and brings a positive attitude even on the hard days. Accounting skills can be developed — character can't be taught.
- 1–4 years of accounting experience in an office setting
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online (QBO) and other financial platforms; additional training provided
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong attention to detail — you catch things others miss
- Great communicator who follows through on every commitment
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred — but experience counts
Who Thrives Here
Our team is made up of people who lead with integrity, serve clients like they matter (because they do), and hold themselves to a high standard — not because someone is watching, but because that's who they are. We're humble enough to keep learning, dependable enough to be counted on, and positive enough to make the office a place people want to be.
- You do the right thing even when no one's looking
- You own your mistakes and fix them without being asked
- You treat clients and coworkers the way you'd want to be treated
- You bring energy and reliability to everything you do
- You're always looking for a better way to do things

- In-office. We're a culture-first team and being present matters to us — not as a policy, but as a mindset. We're not looking for someone whose first question is about working from home. That said, we're human — flexibility happens. After year one, some remote work may be on the table. What we really want is someone who's excited to be here.
