Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Helper to support our team in providing high-quality HVAC services. This role involves assisting with installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems across various commercial and residential properties.
Duties
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems, including air conditioning, refrigeration, boilers, and ventilation equipment
- Support service technicians in troubleshooting using schematics and HVAC design plans
- Perform basic equipment repairs and maintenance tasks using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment
- Aid in plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems and ammonia refrigeration units
- Help with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC infrastructure
- Assist with equipment repair and replacement projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Support field service operations by transporting tools and materials using a valid driver’s license
- Follow safety guidelines during all work activities and maintain a clean work environment
Qualifications
- Prior experience or knowledge in construction, appliance repair, property maintenance, or mechanical fields is preferred
- Experience with service technician tasks, HVAC/R systems, schematics, or HVAC design is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge related to air conditioning, refrigeration, boilers, or ammonia refrigeration systems is desirable
- Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical components used in HVAC systems
- Ability to operate testing devices such as ohmmeters and perform equipment repair tasks
- Welding skills or boiler experience are advantageous but not required
- Strong willingness to learn new skills within the HVAC industry
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is necessary for transportation purposes
- Ability to work safely in various environments and lift heavy equipment when necessary
